Moana Echo
Color: Brown with small star
Height: 15.2+ hands Foaled: July 4, 2013 Sire: Iron Forge Starman Dam: Amador Merry Bell Registries: American Morgan Horse Association. With our senior stallion's retirement, we looked for many years for a young stallion to breed to our Silhouette daughters. Our criteria: proven sport horse bloodlines; athletic movement; correct conformation; easy temperament and size. We finally found him in Moana Echo. Bred by Sally Radtke Anderson, Echo was sired by one of the most successful Morgan dressage horses of the past 20 years, Iron Forge Starman, who scored in the 60's at Grand Prix with Sally. Starman also sired many successful sport horses in his breeding career for Sally and her parents, who used the EMR prefix. Echo was doubly attractive to us because of his dam's breeding: her lines through Lowell Hughes' Caduceus Morgans program - going back multiple times to Jubilee King, Flyhawk and Sentola with a bit of Old Government and a touch of Lippitt. See pedigree. As an individual, Echo has size (a solid 15.2+), light, fluid movement, correct conformation and Morgan type coupled with a playful, fun personality. As a sire, Echo has not disappointed. His first Morgan foals, born beginning in 2020, are exceptional. All have wonderful temperaments, correct conformation and the kind of movement that will allow them to compete with any breed in multiple sport horse disciplines. See more about his offspring. |
