Spring Hollow Mares
We have retained two Statesmans Silhouette daughters and one granddaughter to continue our breeding program. They represent some of the best of a program that has produced dozens of successful sport horses over the past three decades.
Spring Hollow Enchantress
2005 Dark Bay Mare • 15.3 hands Sire: Statesmans Silhouette Dam: Bethesda Sorceress (Wyoming Flyhawk x Bethesda Enchantress) See pedigree "Tessa" has been an exceptional broodmare for us, producing four wonderful Spring Hollow foals, including her 2021 filly by Echo, Spring Hollow Sorceress. The consistency of the cross of her dam with Silhouette boded well for her future as a broodmare - her five full siblings all had successful performance careers with amateur and junior young riders. She is routinely producing size (her mature offspring are 15.2-16 hands) with powerful gaits, correct conformation and trainable temperaments. Tessa is bred back to Echo for a 2023 foal. |

Spring Hollow Calypso
2006 Black Mare • 15.3 hands Sire: Statesmans Silhouette Dam: Goings Dream Come True See pedigree "Callie" - a farm favorite from the day she was born - was on her way to a successful performance career until a suspensory ligament injury short-circuited her future in the dressage arena. While she came back sound from the injury, our vet warned the ligament might not hold up to the rigors of upper level work and re-injury could jeopardize her ability to comfortably carry a foal in the future. She was retired from competition, and became a pleasure riding horse, lower-level school master and now a broodmare. She has produced two fillies by Moana Echo in 2020 and 2022 with her lovable disposition, beauty and athleticism. |

Spring Hollow Reine d'Or
2018 Dunalino (Red Dun/Palomino) Mare • 15.2 hands Sire: Amberfields Embossedngold Dam: Spring Hollow Enchantress by Statesmans Silhouette See Pedigree Reine d'Or, which translates in French as "Golden Queen," lives up to her name. A strikingly beautiful mare with an endearing personality, Reine is unforgettable to everyone who has seen her. Her sire, a combination of Old Government and Lippitt along with a bit of Brunk, successfully competed through second level and over fences. We started Reine lightly under saddle in Summer 2021 and she spent the 2021-22 winter with rider Beth Brooke to continue her training. She's now in foal to Echo for an April 2023 foal. It's going to be a long wait for her foal - but should be well worth the time! |
