| Nestled on more than 160 acres in the scenic
Southern Allegheny Mountains of Central Pennsylvania, at Spring
Hollow we combine classic breeding of the East and Midwest to produce
Morgan Sport Horses with size, athleticism, trainability and correct
conformation that are winning in recognized Open and Morgan competition
and providing their owners with wonderful partners.
Our foundation sire is Statesmans Silhouette,
a 15.1, dark bay, 19 year-old stallion who has won many championships
in dressage and Sport Horse Suitability. We typically produce
just a few foals a year, allowing us to spend lots of time
with all of our youngsters -- time that pays dividends when they're
old enough to begin training.
And while our breeding program is relatively
young - started within the past 25 years - horses we have bred
have earned dozens of championships in dressage, carriage,
working hunter and sport horse breeding in recognized competition. But most of all, they've
won their way into their owner's hearts, demonstrating the typically
Morgan traits of keen intelligence coupled with an eagerness to
please their human partners.
Here at Spring Hollow our horses and family
love visitors, so feel free to come meet our wonderful Morgans,
enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and learn more about our
breeding program. We're located less than 130 miles from Washington,
D.C., Baltimore, Md., Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Pa., just 20
minutes from the Breezewood or Bedford exits of the Pennsylvania
Turnpike.
